I am no beauty blogger, but as a lover/hoarder of make-up and skincare, I felt the need to share this new found miracle regime with you guys. I have been sticking to the same routine for my skin for a few months now and I have never seen my complexion this good. Now, if you like to do skincare on the cheap, then look away now. The products I am currently using aren't the cheapest - although they do last a long time so I would definitely recommend investing.

In terms of my everyday make-up for work, I wear nothing on my skin. After moisturising in the morning, I slap a bit of mascara and brow gel on and that's me ready to go. I used to wear foundation, but really, I didn't see the point. Letting my skin breathe throughout the day was the best decision - even if I was a little scared about going bare at first. It also makes getting ready on weekends more enjoyable as I don't consider or tie heavy make-up into my everyday routine.

Even though I don't wear anything as a skin base throughout the day, I still cleanse and wash my face most nights to remove any excess dirt and oil. I wouldn't say I do it every day, because 1. I'm lazy and 2. I find if I wash it too much it can cause dryness. Talking of dry, my skin type is just that, dry as a bone and quite sensitive as well. I get extremely dry patches in my t-zone so hydration in any product I pick and use is key. Luckily, I don't break out a lot and I have generally clear skin.

So, this brings me to these amazing products. Some of these I have been using for a while and some of them I have just introduced into the mix. You probably will have heard of the skincare brands, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. There is one product in particular that I can't go a day without using (more than once) but more on this later.

The first on the agenda is the cleanser. I use the Kiehl's, 'Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash' at £24.00 (230ml), which I have been using for nearly a year now so it definitely works well for me. The consistency is thick, almost like a gel form but it then turns into a foam when rubbed into a wet face. It is so gentle on my sensitive skin, although it could potentially leave my skin quite dry if I left my routine at just that.

After any excess make-up and dirt has been removed from cleansing, I exfoliate with the NIP + FAB, 'Glycolic Scrub Fix' at £9.95 (75ml). I only exfoliate 2-3 times a week as it can feel quite harsh on my skin, but this formula is finely milled and smells amazing. It contains Glycolic Acid which is literally my saviour. It works to reduce blemishes and resurfaces the skin on your face. The Glycolic Scrub Fix is something that requires hardly any product so it will definitely last you around 4 months, depending how often you exfoliate. I've found it a staple part to my regime which maintains super soft skin.

Back to Kiehl's, I pair the cleanser with the, 'Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner' at £34.50 (500ml). Again, quite a high-end product but each product I have tried from Kiehl's definitely seems to agree with my skin. I have tried many toners - some that have irritated and even stung - but the Calendula Toner is alcohol-free, gentle and doesn't have that horrible clinical smell. I use a few drops of this on a cotton pad and wipe all over my skin and neck before hydrating the skin.

For all of you out there with dry skin, this is what you've all been waiting for - and it's literally going to change your life. To moisturise, I use the NIP + FAB, 'Dragons Blood Fix Serum', at £19.95 (50ml). I apply this every single day both morning and night for extra hydration. It's a little on the expensive side for the amount of product you get, but I have seen it on offer in Boots a few times. I physically can't believe how much it has changed the look and feel of my skin. Every morning I wake up with plump, hydrated and softer skin and it's also great to use as a primer for your make-up. I don't know what I'd do if it was ever discontinued.

There are two rescue products that are my go-to to grab if my skin is going through the wars. If I have gathered a few spots or pimples, I like to use the ALPHA-H, 'Liquid Gold', at £33.50 (100ml) - this stuff is dynamite. If you haven't heard of or used this product before, it is extremely strong but amazing for eliminating spots. It has a high volume of Glycolic Acid in, so a little goes a long way. For this, all I do is dampen a cotton pad with around 3 drops of the Liquid Gold and gently rub all over the face - just like a toner. I leave this on overnight and I always wake up with clearer skin - without fail.

Another product I couldn't live without - and I'm sure you've all heard of it - is the Mario Badescu, 'Drying Lotion' at £14.00 (29ml). Again, a strong substance product that requires little each time, but an absolute gem for clearing spots. I apply this again, at night, directly onto the problem area or spot using a cotton bud and then rinse off in the morning. This is especially great for calming down those angry under-the-skin blemishes.

  1. Here are five of our favorite ways to use Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater: #1 Boost hydration by misting evenly to cleansed, toned skin. Follow with your daily moisturizer or night cream. #2 Mist Facial Spray as a final step after makeup application to give your makeup a natural dewy finish.
