LOOK-BACK | MY FEBRUARY IN PHOTOS

Hey lovelies! So I know many bloggers out there enjoy reflecting back on the month to showcase what they've been up to and their personal highlights. It's something I'd never thought to do as most of us can't afford to jet-set everywhere, splurge on shopping trips or simply keep the monthly reflection particularly exciting to read!

PANCAKE DAY SPECIAL CINNAMON PROTEIN STACK RECIPE

Here we are back with the second instalment of my tid raw way feature. If you missed the very first one and are eager to see what I made, you can take a look at the recipe for my Raw Nut Brownie Energy Balls here. So, seeing as the weekend and also Pancake Day is upon us, I thought it would be rude not to honour a day where it's completely acceptable to eat Nutella for breakfast!

(UPDATE: this photo is my second and best attempt at this recipe - practice definitely makes perfect!)

6 STRUGGLES ONLY BRUNETTES WILL UNDERSTAND

One of the things I love most is being a brunette. In fact, I don't think I would have it or will have it any other way. I think this is partly down to the fact that I'd look god awful ridiculous as a blonde, but also, who could really be arsed with the up-keep of root maintenance! With the numerous 'studies' that show brunettes have more intellect, and blondes have more fun, yet, do we all seriously believe that? I doubt these people really know the daily struggles we all go through with such different varieties of long, short, curly, frizzy, damaged or dry hair. In my opinion, it's all just a load of nonsense to further force a divide between us girls, but there will always be pro's and con's whatever your hair colour.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SOCIAL MEDIA

I saw this quote the other day which really encouraged me to write this post. Now, I may go a little off blogger and a little back to my uni days with this, but I feel it's such an important subject that I can hopefully get across well on my blog. With my job being just that, I spend the majority of my day-to-day hours online. But how could I not love what I do! When I saw this quote, it really hit home, and I think it stands for a lot and is relatable to everyone at some point. There are a ton of negative associations within social media that we all seem to overlook. Sure, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snap are all amazing ways to stay in touch with people from all them many years ago that you would have otherwise lost contact with. But seriously, aren't we just using that for an excuse to be nosy? Do we really have 5,000 'friends'? And do we really understand how much we rely on social media?

RAW NUT BROWNIE ENERGY BALLS RECIPE

Happy Sunday guys! So since I mentioned that I've been experimenting with raw recipes, I thought it was about time I introduced a regular feature to my blog, and what better to start with than the way to all our hearts, food

'TID RAW WAY', short for TheIndefiniteDiaries Raw Way (but you knew that), will be a fortnightly feature to fill your weekend baking desires. All recipes will be made by me, from scratch, with ease, on a budget and all really healthy, balanced and using 80% (ish) raw ingredients when it comes to desserts! Most recipes will be adaptable to your individual taste, so I will aim to make notes where you could add or replace similar ingredients if you're not keen on the odd bits and bobs.

SPRING FAIR 2017 | BIRMINGHAM

So yesterday with work, I attended the Spring Fair event at the NEC arena in Birmingham. So, what's that then?! For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, the Spring Fair event is the biggest home & gift trade event in the UK, and it's literally an IKEA loving, interior and gift obsessors paradise, set out over 5 days from 5th Feb until the 9th. As we were going on the final day, we were eager to get the last look of what the exhibitors had to offer.

HOW TO | START YOUR DAY THE RIGHT WAY

Happy(-ish) hump day guys! It's Wednesday, and we're another day closer to the weekend - hooray! If like me you struggled to leap out of your warm bed this morning screaming rise and shine at the top of your lungs, then you've definitely come to the right place. Whether we like it or not, we all at some point lack in the get-up-and-go attitude. Especially during the colder and darker months, I can never seem to make it into work without yawning 20+ times and feeling horrendously sorry for myself. So, if there was ever a time for you to need this post in your life, a gloomy Wednesday morning is just perfect for it. Here are my six essential tips and pick-me-up's to ensure you have the best possible start to your day (and trust me you're going to need it).

MY TYPICAL WEEK IN FOOD

For a few years now, I have always battled with constant and sometimes drastic fluctuation in my weight. Like most I have never opted or dared to speak about it as it's not really a personal subject that people like to get into or talk about. But, the way I used to look and what I used to weigh really doesn't bother me now, and I'm now in a position where I'm happily maintaining a 2 and a half stone loss. As this post is concentrating on diet, I won't go into much detail regarding the whole weightloss thing, but it's something I've never aired, so if it's something you'd like to read then let me know. I would love to share with you what has aided in my loss along the way.
